Metallicans

The Metallicans were the first beings to enter the Celestial Clocktower and leave it alive, it is said that while in there, they observed and understood the workings of the world to a degree that nothing else had ever achieved, and were deified by their peers; This bred a large follower base that became the Archiat Confederacy, as well as the Cult Metallican alongside it.
The strongest of the Metallicans, Omniseer Metallican, was worshipped as a god for their vast knowledge and their prerogative to sacrifice the flesh of the body for mechanical purity, a tenet which continued on among the Cult Metallican forever on. However, when Omniseer Metallican's form began to disfigure and show non-sensical properties, observed as being both seven feet tall and hundreds of thousands of miles in height, they secluded themself to an altar, and were never seen again.
For several years, the rest of the Metallicans reigned in stead of the Omniseer's presence, but they all slowly succame to the same fate as they who came before.
Each Metallican was particularly gifted and astute in a certain school of magic, and cities were built around the altars they each rest in now. As such, their magical Cosmic energy infuses these Prime Cities with power, which are harnessed in different ways.

Caestus Metallican - Evocation
Umbras Metallican - Illusion
Permutas Metallican - Transmutation
Caminus Metallican - Conjuration
Vigorus Metallican - Necromancy
Cerebrus Metallican - Enchantment
Arxus Metallican - Abjuration
Promos Metallican - Divination

And the greatest mind in the capital city,
Omniseer Metallican, who knows all.
They are each throned in the center of their cities, which are respectively named after the one who lies in them.
Vigorus Metallican - Once a powerful vassal-hawk lich called Abraham, who reached the Celestial Clocktower by stealing the Cosmic Shard from a deity called the Vortex Lord, dethroning them from immortality and gaining the power to travel between planes. With the aid of an entourage of powerful individuals and entities, they discovered the existence of the Cosmic Plane and formed a plan to reach it. Abraham was almost thwarted by a group of adventurers, mortally wounding him in a final confrontation; though just before he fell, his ritual was completed and he was transported to the Celestial Clocktower, the adventurers catching merely a glimpse of it. With Cosmic Shard in hand, Abraham died in the Clocktower; his soul trapped there, joined with the rest of the Metallicans. Soon, with their great minds and power combined, they would find a way to return to Tellus.
