Armiger

Vassal Beasts are fragments of the deity known as Ambaxt, the Great Vassal Beast who prizes honour and code above all else. Ambaxt seperated off many fragments of themselves to bestow their grace upon all the lands, in the form of the lesser vassal beasts, also known as armigers. Since armigers are the creation of Ambaxt, they are bound to its will, though this binding is loose, since their true calling is to serve a being which they find fit to bestow themselves upon. The exact nature of the bond between an armiger and their charge differs between each case, some may view their charge as a noble soul who the armiger wishes to aid; another armiger may see their charge as being too weak to defend themselves, but worthy of protection nonetheless; there are those armigers who never find a charge whom they deem worthy, perhaps they view themselves too highly, or perhaps it is merely their cynicism of the world.
The way in which an armiger will aid their charge is not only through protection, perhaps they will lend their mind to their research, or their voice as a speaker, or even as a blade for their conquest. Whatever an armiger finds as a righteous, worthy cause, they will lend their hand in whichever way they know best.   Armigers appear in a few forms, each derived from different creatures:
Vassal-Hounds look like humanoid wolves, with enhanced senses and mighty perseverance.
Vassal-Hawks look like humanoid birds of prey, with wings capable of flight and incredible focus.
Vassalisks look like humanoid krautalisk, with giant stature and unbreaking resolve.
