Personal history
Judith Isak was born to Ilejar Isak and Boppin Isak late into the couple's life. It was unexpected that they'd be able to have children so they were ecstatic and nervous when Ilejar fell pregnant. When Judith was born they threw a large celebration for the healthy baby and made many offerings of thread and fabric to The Weaver of Fate. As an only child all of the attentions of Ilejar and Boppin were put into raising Judith and so to her their lower-modest lifestyle felt like one of complete luxury. She was put through the temple education program like all children of Caelin but was taken out during her seventh year to pursue advanced fashion concepts and fabrics designed under her mentor and aunt-like figure Tulgah Hemming. Tulgah Hemming was a sweet Priestess of Frigg, although you could never tell unless it was time for a ritual or service. She had a guiding hand in most children's upbringing and of the general direction of Caelin, but she put personal effort into those she thought showed potential for great skill in their town craft or her faith. Under Tulgah, Judith developed her open-minded and more relaxed attitude, as well as her bonds of following her heart and what she wanted. By 15 years old Judith was very well-regarded for her good skill and impressive speed. One day a young man arrived, around the age of 15 or 16, looking for a fancy-looking outfit to wear to his job interview at Westar the Church of The Lord of Light. He introduced himself as Alexei, a traveling engineer looking for somewhere to apply his craft. The pair hit it off and to Alexei's surprise Judith asked him on a date, then another, then another, and soon he had forgotten all about why he came to Caelin in the first place. Ilejar and Boppin disapproved of their daughter being bewitched by who they saw as a broke vagabond, but all concerns would be sidelined once it became clear she was incredibly in love with said broke vagabond, and also extremely pregnant. What followed next was a hastily planned, but ultimately very fun and exciting wedding for the pair in 1217 ABN. After seeing how happy Alexei made her daughter Ilejar finally approved of the coupling. Born first to Judith and Alexei was Atla Isak, a firecracker with a violent streak amongst the other well-to-do, calm, holier-than-thou girls at the temple school. Two years later Kjartan Isak was born to a happily married couple, and despite the child being rather sickly, he still managed to be filled with excitement and curiosity. The herbal concoction required to keep Kjartan's disease at bay was very expensive, and Alexei decided to help pay for it by seeking a higher-paying job by a wealthy foreign noble or city. During his absence Judith continued to increase in skill and speed, once taking a commission for an Eastoian 14-song ball, making all 14 dresses in one week. Judith also placed 4th in the 1228 ABN Caelin Grand Needle competition, winning a beautiful dress for Atla, who refused to wear it saying it was too girly.
Stormcloak Raid and Death
Tragedy would strike Caelin and its people when Stormcloak mercenaries working with the affluent merchant Vidar Vhighander attacked and sacked the town of Caelin, killing many of its people, and destroying the Temple of Frigg the Fate Weaver. Judith lost her life trying to defend her son Kjartan Isak, whose sickness and weak body disgusted the Stormcloak raiders who entered their home so much that they sought to execute him in the form of the Blood Eagle. She managed to stab out the eye of one of the attackers and fought back with such aggression that when they fought her off they fled, but not before setting the house ablaze, believing that she was a witch of Freya and her valuables were bound to be cursed. She died hoping that her daughter Atla was safe and that her husband Alexei would forgive her for not being able to protect their family.Afterlife in Udrheim
Judith would be welcomed into Urdheim, the realm of Frigg the Fate Weaver when she reached the afterlife. As all Norse gods do Frigg chose Judith to personally join her realm, instead of leaving it to chance which afterlife she would end up in. There Judith enjoys the pleasures of the Well of Yggsdrasil, fends off the attacks of the mighty beast draconic beast Nidhogger, and watches over her husband and son Kjartan Isak. Because Kjartan was so young when he passed on Frigg did not have a firm grasp on his soul, and the goddess Hel was able to snatch it from her, holding his afterlife hostage until Frigg presented her with a fitting birthday gift, since she had refused to give her one the year prior. Due to Frigg being unable to leave Urdheim, Judith volunteered to travel across the planes of the Norse Pantheon and find the materials to craft Hel an appropriate gift. With the help of another mother's soul from Valhalla, Judith acquired the materials and crafted Hel a frost-fire scarf that appealed to her cruelty and mercy. Satisfied with the gift, Hel allowed Kjartan to be reunited with his mother, now able to roam free between Urdheim and Helheim. Now together they await the time when they can reunite with Kjartan and Alexei, and be together as a family again.Gender Identity
Judith identified fully as a woman and was comfortable with her gender. She did notice early signs of gender dysphoria in her eldest daughter but was counseled by the town oracles to let fate play out and allow time to guide her child's identity. As a Caelinite Judith was raised to believe in the natural guidance and wisdom of women over men who are characterized as more brutish and emotionally impulsive. She was biased by this upbringing but still tried to treat everyone she met as a blank slate ready to be impressed upon by ones actions and words.
Sexuality
Judith was Bisexual.
Education
Judith received a standard education for a citizen of Caelin, as basic schooling was provided freely by the Temple of The Fate Weaver. She learned basic algebra, reading, measurements, and other skills for fabric work to what would be the equivalent of a middle school level. She was taught by renowned seamstress and priestess Tulgah Hemming and took on characteristics of her unique style and skill.
Employment
Judith worked out of her own home providing high-end clothing that traveling merchants purchased at good premiums to sell at decent markups to Gaelin, Eastoian, and even Atolian low-nobility and upper-middle-class craftsmen and skilled laborers. She made a decent income for herself and her family and positioned them to live modestly, if sometimes stringently. She was well regarded for her craft and sought after for her similar style to Tulgah Hemming but ultimately cheaper more affordable prices.
Accomplishments & Achievements
At 12 Judith's weaving was good enough to be able to be taught by the renowned seamstress and priestess Tulgah Hemming. She broke the record for most low-complexity dresses sewn in a week with 14 dresses. Until her death and after she can still only explain this great feat with, "I thank Frigg for guiding me through, and I thank this weird herb I bought off that jungle merchant too-"
Intellectual Characteristics
Judith was of natural and unnotable general or academic intelligence, but she was highly knowledgeable in the practical application of sewing, weaving, fashion, and materials and aquasition for such work.
