The Matriarch

Requirements

Be a directed descendant by blood of the first Gallows family. Legitimacy of birth doesn't matter. Blood and magic don't lie when working together.

Appointment

Study under the previous Matriarch until learned the powers of the seven families. Learned the secrets and knowledge of the Matriarch. A ceremony is performed that passes power, basically immortality, onto the new Matriarch. Once the ceremony is mostly completed by the now previous Matriarch, the new Matriarch essentially assists the old Matriarch into moving on to join the spirits.

Duties

Assisting those in need.

Responsibilities

Governing the Seven families. Listening to local Supernatural's and speaking for them. Supporting those in her family when they need it. Being as open minded as possible, to be able to help as many people as she can.

Benefits

Gallows Manor, and all its holdings.
Boost in power that has been passed down, from previous Matriarchs all the way back to the First Matriarch.
Control over the Seven Families. 
Position on the Council.
A Library.

Grounds for Removal/Dismissal

Only way to be removed from title is for the next Matriarch to take their place.
