Ruvaen Ararieth
Ruvaen Ararieth (born 2400) was born in the city of Beibarde to Elven parents, though he does not remember them. As part of a contract between his parents and a noble family, he was sold into servant hood at birth and was trained as soon as he could walk how to be a noble servant. Ruvaen was the most loyal of servants to his first family, the Rochettes, until he was 113 and was sold to another family in the Draguives Parish. This family, the Poulins, were very brutish to Ruvaen and treated him terribly in comparison to the Rochettes. Dealing with abuse - physical and psychological - Ruvaen grew to hate humans during this time and believed he would never serve another family as soon as he could escape this family.
In the year 2682, the Poulins sufferred a major political loss to a rival family in the city Draguives for a representative. Their loss to the Prudhommes suffered the family great financial losses, and were forced to sell Ruvaen to them to recouperate their losses. Finally freed from their grasp, Ruvaen began working for the Prudhommes with great wariness of them, as he still harbored his hatred for humans. The Prudhomme family, after winning the representative race against their rivals, became increasingly more involved in politics - they often assigned Ruvaen to venture into Draguives to gain favor among the townspeople and find anything the family could use to upstand their name.
During Ruvaen's work he slowly started to understand how humans worked outside of noble homes, often visiting public spaces, shops, and lecture halls in the area to learn and converse as much as possible. Increasing his understanding of human nature, Ruvaen became Draguives own political figure for the Prudhomme family and helped the town with many charitable events and humanitarian projects. However, Ruvaen was captured as part of a political stunt pulled by the Poulin family to make the Prudhommes look bad. Ruvaen was held captive for forty days until the Poulins were arrested for their crime and thrown in prison. Feeling terrible about the debacle, the Prudhommes decided to release Ruvaen from servanthood in 2714. Ruvaen stayed in Draguives until 2770, leaving for work elsewhere.
Ending up with the Maulenov family in the Rossignol Parish, Ruvaen was contracted to be their educational worker and culturalist for their children as the last one left due to poor behavior of the children. It was during this time that Ruvaen met with Jean Maulenov, whom he watched grow into a dignified youth compared to his other brothers. He favored Jean out of the four of them and became good friends with the young lad. Following Jean on his departure from home, Ruvaen cut the contract with the Maulenovs on good terms and promised to assist Jean with his work.
Finally, Ruvaen can be found most days working in the Maulenov & Ararieth company in Shawcross Hold. Generally smoking while he works, he takes great pleasure in the simplicity of bookkeeping. Ruvaen holds lectures every other month in the local agora of Shawcross Hold about most manner of education. He is especially fond of political debate at the Blue Bird's Nest in his free time over common table games. Ruvaen is also known as the town's best Jabber player.
