Telberg Cows

The Telberg Cow as the name suggests are a species of cow that lives in Telberg. The cows are slightly larger then most cows and it is said that they taste better. Because they taste better they are sold though out the land and is highly desirable. Nobles form all over the world will pay top dolor to get a piece of stake form one of these cows and travelers have been known to journey halfway across the world to get a taste. The cow's and the meat have become legendary in recent years so much so that those who have never seen one of the cows claim that they are rainbow colored or have wings.    When settlers came to Telberg they had with them normal cows however though some process the cows in the area started to change. In was around the year 400 when people realized that there was some difference and started to regulate the trade of these cows making sure now one not in the region could bye one still able to re produce. While there have been some cows that have been smuggled away over the years and there is no doubt a black market around the meat os such cows most people are skeptical of the claims and the trade from the city itself is still strong.   Though out the years the cows became more and more different and the reported taste of these cows only grew as well. Some time between 1900 and 2300 the cows no longer could breed with their brethren elsewhere. Despite this the regulations controlling transportation of fertile cows are still strict.   The town prospered and grew because of these cows and to celebrate them they have a festival each year called the Dance of the Cows. It happens at the end of summer and is a large enough festival that it brings people from all over the surrounding area.
