Dance of the Cows

Telberg is a town known for one thing the Telberg Cows. So celebrated are these cows that in the year 938 they decided that they would hold and annual festival called the Dance of the Cows.     The Festival would take place at the end of summer and would be a three day long affair. Where the each day would have a different activity.   Day One: The Cow Parade, the farmer of the city each herd their cows that they plan to sell though the street, bringing them though main street and to corrals at the south side of town where they will remain until the end of the festivities.   Day Two: The Dance of the Cows, The day in which the festival was named for. A dance that takes place in the middle of the street. It is a partnered dance where one of the partners dresses completely in black while the other dresses completely in white. The tradition it for the woman to dress in black though this had been mixed up over the years and especially in partners of the same sex.   Day Three: The Feast, a number of the cows that had been paraded though the streets on the first day are slaughtered. And a great feast happens in the city. Everyone at the festival comes to the feast and there much drinking and celebration. The rest of the cows are then castrated and shipped off for sale elsewhere in the world.     The festivals have grown though out the many years to a point where it is a big event that people come from all over the land to witness and partake in. Despite the feast being free the festival as a whole brings a lot of revenue to the city as a whole from people staying at the hotels to the food being sol though out the other two days of the celebration.
