The Wild Warrior Inn

As you enter town , you can see the vast majority of the merchants that were travelling the pass with you pull over towards a three-story brick structure. Within moments, the scrum of merchants begin to crowd in front of the place, nearly knocking each other over to get in.   As you get inside, the fact that this is an inn becomes obvious to you; there are tables nearly filled with patrons already, even though it is only the early evening, and a dishevelled innkeeper trying to keep everything under control. Firelight flickers from not one but two large fireplaces as the crowd of merchants desperately fight to get a room for them and their comrades.

Purpose / Function

This place furnishes the various merchants who travel the Schinter Road. Being the only inn in Valtir and a significantly sized one to boot, it is nearly always full in the evening due to its close proximity to the Snowlaid Pass and its reputation as a wonderful and cheap place to spend the night.

Architecture

The inn is built of clay bricks and mortar, with small windows across the front and back of the structure. Small wooden shutters cover the windows, but they cannot be secured and clatter in the wind.   The inside of the place is rather dirty due to the mud and dirt tracked in by the various merchants that travel through this place. The well-made wooden tables and chairs are nearly always full due to the traffic, and many merchants are forced to stand. The rooms themselves are simple, with a pair of small beds and a small table with two chairs being the only furniture in them.   A small wooden stables sits over to the side of the building, although it is often full with mules, donkeys, and horses used by the various merchants for hauling their carts.
