The Unending Abyss has had many definitions over the centuries. Some refer to it as swimming in an endless bowl of soup, except where some of the chunks of vegetable are trying to eat you. Others instead focus on the minor domains of the Lord of the Abyss which break up the monotony of the plane. In any case, the central tenet of travelling in the land of the lesser demons is to be prepared for anything.
