Silgar's Roadhouse

As you descend towards the shores of Lake Lós, you quickly find a large wooden villa by the side of the road. It forms a square shape, with a peaked roof and a brick foundation that peaks up from under the ground. A sign out front indicates that it is a roadhouse, and the number of carts parked in front of it indicates that many merchants are already here.   Inside, you can see a series of tables, many of them empty, form a rough dining room. Beyond that, a kitchen is fully visible, with cooks going around and roasting meat, baking bread, and stirring large vats of soup. The few merchants in the room have been chatting for quite some time, based on the progress they've made with their drinks. A man with a green and brown vest appears to be talking very animately with one group.   After being led upstairs, the man in the vest indicates the comfortable rooms your band are staying in. They all have a view to the lake, which is still several miles away. A bed made up with rather soft linens lies in the centre of the room and a small desk and chair are across from you, just below the window. You stretch and relax your sore muscles, as it is time to rest.

Purpose / Function

Silgar's Roadhouse services casual travellers making their way along the Schinter Road, as it is possible to quickly ride or drive the distance between Klimtar and Bluewater in one day. Those who walk and prefer a more leisurely journey often stop here for the night to go on to Klimtar or Bluewater in the morning. The rooms for these travellers take up much of the back half of the lower floor and the entirety of the upper floor.

Prices

Silgar charges those wishing to stay the night here a small 4sp per night. Considering the quality of the establishment and the food here, it's very generous.

Architecture

The architectural style of this building is very reminiscent of the villas of Magistrates or other semi-noble positions. That is because it was, at one point, the summer house of an important Gratic official, whose descendants still run the inn.
