Nib the Stableboy
Nibel Danakké (a.k.a. Nib)
In the stables, you meet a boy that has only seen a dozen winters, maybe less. He is cleaning up the hay strewn all over the stable, probably the result of a hissy-fit from one of the horses. He is covered in dirt and smells terrible, but that may be just the stables. As he turns to you, his wild green eyes twinkle in curiosity, taking in the look of your party.
"Hello." he says quietly, barely within earshot, and turns back to his work.
Physical Description
General Physical Condition
Nib is a small boy with a kind face despite the job that he leads. He is always dirty and smelly from working in the stables - and so are his labourer's clothes - but he always has a smile plastered to his face.

Has the slight shadow to his skin colour common to Orenians, along with the bruises and scrapes typical of his trade.

He has wild eyes, full of joy, and he's beginning to have some whiskers on his cheeks.

He can be identified by his small size and general untidyness around the Magistrate.

He's beginning to manifest magical abilities, but he hasn't told anyone and he's never used them in public.

Personal history
Nib grew up in Freebrook, the son of a pair of recent Orenian immigrants. They died a few years back, leaving him orphaned and begging on the street. Ignelsio Fardaker found him and gave him the position that he now holds.
Nib's magical power was accidentally triggered in the market by a hired operative of The Nine Daggers, and he was sent to jail once he had calmed down and fallen unconscious. After it was discovered that he was not personally responsible for the attack, he was set free and returned to his duties.

Nib is a good kid, always looking out for the little guy. This is because he used to be the little guy, in all honesty, and he doesn't want anyone else to go through what happened to him. Because of his history with authority and his age, he has a lot of faith in the Magistrate and the imperial government to solve problems.
