Saltmarsh Weekly Market
Built around the first well dug for the fishers in the town’s early days is a large market square where merchants of all descriptions gather each week to sell their wares. Initially established to sell fish, the market has grown to include a wide variety of goods. The center area of the square contains a dozen long tables where shoppers can eat communally. During the summer on the second day of the week, Telday, the weekly market is filled with farmers from all over the Plains of Mayfurrow as well as those from all over Saltmarsh wishing to sell their goods. Janina organizes those that wish to sell and assigns stalls and locations to each merchant. A stall must be rented before the day arrives, and must be cleared the day after. While there is a rarely a problem with this, she has the full support of the guard to enforce this. The rest of the week can be spent in the Green Square if one wishes to stick around. It costs 5 silver to rent a stall for the day, but the abundance of people who purchase wears exclusively on the towns "shopping day" means that profits are always high. The weekly market shuts down in the winter.
