11 - 10/16

After surveying the scene from atop the Lighthouse, the group saw an old cabin in the swamp and further onwards a large mound that could be the location of the ancient boros burial site. The group also spotted a large building that was likely the town hall, and the chapel off in the distance. With some locations to explore, the group set off into the ruined village.   The first thing the group noticed was near many of the houses the ground was tilled, and Nessali used mold earth to investigate and found skeletons buried inside. Further up the road the group investigated the town hall. It was run down and mostly collapsed, but inside the group fought an ochre jelly and found somebodies body under the rubble. He had a bag of holding and a journal that later revealed that Thomas Morton, the village priest, had hung Edelmira after accusing her of being a witch. He lamented this and felt it was wrong, and believed she was cursed.   Further up the road the group was accosted by some ghouls, who had an old boros artifact on them but otherwise were dispatched by the group. An old run down smithy was nearby, and inside the group found a ghast that was originally a dwarf, and she had a boros artifact on her as well. The forge seemed intact, but was lacking fuel. Despite the holes in the roof, the group decided this was a secure hiding spot and decided to camp here as the sun fell over the horizon. With the last light fading an eerie sound rang out in the darkness, and the village bells tolled. Shambling was heard outside, but the group quietly slept inside the smiths shop.   The next day the group investigated the workshop and found two more ghasts who had lots of little baubles of the old boros empire. A note said that these were excavated by dwarves, and was signed by Mrs. Copperlocks. Some grave mold was found on the crate, and it was known to be a magical fungus that the group knew to handle with care. It also caused confusion and hallucinations, and eventually symptoms resembling possession and death.   Further on the group investigated the Rowan Tree, where a nearby grave revealed the "witch" that had been hung. She had a magic ring of life on her, and the group pocketed it and continued. The last destination was the Chapel, standing eerily upon the hill overlooking the port village. The graveyard had a hundred graves that were all filled with loose dirt, but no under were found. Inside the group found the hand of saint Sidvela, a skeleton with three fingers on its right hand, dozens of silver treasures worth plenty of gold, and a bell tower that appeared frequently used. After desecrating the temple, Sidryn also found a secret entrance to the cellar, but down below the entrance seemed sturdily barred and no attempt at entrance yielded results. With that the group continued on.
