Eternal Defenders
Malrak looks over the map once again as he has over the last weeks,
"This is just the beginning of this work."
The map shows the three growing cities of the new kingdom of Eternal Defenders, letters have been exchanged with the Harvester wishing to continue the alliance of Bykaal. Another has been Captain Aldernon Numan wishing to secure trade for the goods his fleet has been digging up, which the vampire fleet could use to bolster its power. After that would be constructing some forts to protect this region from those hostile or too enthralled by the powers to see other paths. The time has and previous campaign has tempered some of Malraks opinions on those who serve other powers beside the Undying King, even willing to more openly work with them in this new realm with no master.
Also on the map are those new cities of others brought to this land, those of other lords, such as The Paleblood Prince, Hreardan, and those of smaller bands. The scouts of New Nulahmia had skirmished with vanguard Stormcast Eternals and allowed them to get word back to the city.
"This region is more populated than I first thought, but that does not change what the goal has become since being delivered here," he thought to himself.
It had been some time since his lieutenants had returned from the siege of the Mournking, while the king had been slain he had dropped a powerful artifact. As well as information on the nature of the residents of the city, not the usual depraved followers of the dark prince.
"Perhaps there is hope to pull those of the city away from chaos' clutch and join the mission to protect this land and its inhabitants."
"It feels so long since the Burning Winter and my mission from my Queen. Now I am a King in this land and leading a kingdom of growing cities in the image of the long past." He reflected to himself. "Who knows how long we will be stuck here and if leaving is possible, if it is what shall be left behind will stand eternal."
