The Lantern Lighter
The Lantern Lighter is the Inn of Staddle and the Prancing Pony's only real competition. The Lantern Lighter is owned by the Tunnelly Family and operated by Karla Tunnelly for the family. Most of the rooms are hobbit sized, but a portion of the Inn is built with higher ceilings and larger furniture to make the Big People comfortable. The fair at the inn is as good as can be found anywhere and the ale is a rival to the Pony. On the whole, the crowd at the Lantern Lighter is more local, and fewer travelers stop here. However, anyone wishing to do business with the Tunnelly family would do well to start at the inn. Karla serves in many ways as a spokesperson for the family when it comes to outsiders.
