Eyla

Eyla is the name given by the Lihlsu to the field of elemental energy that exists throughout the universe. Eyla is essential to the existence of many things found on Earth, just as much as their atomical and chemical makeup.

Manifestation

The Lihlsu consider all things to be made up of Eyla, but there are only nineteen different types of Eyla, referred to by the Lihlsu as Elements, that are capable of being manipulated and are as follows:

8. Arcane

12. Earth
13. Crystal

The first five sources are often referred to by the Lihlsu under the umbrella term of 'Celestial'. All elements apart from Arcane have a physical manifestation which give off Eyla; Arcane Eyla exists due to the flow of magic that is interwoven with the fabric of reality.

Localization

What the Lihlsu deem as 'natural elemental energy' (energy found in the natural environment of the world that is given off by naturally occurring sources of Eyla) exists simultaneously in the world and is capable of being affected by its environment.
In certain environments, times of day, or even weather conditions, some types of Eyla will have a strengthened presence, while others will be weakened - although they are always present regardless of the strength of said presence. Such occasions are as follows:

• Moon, Shadow, Star, Planet, and Galaxy energies are stronger at night; Sun and Light energies are weakened.
• Moon, Star, Planet, and Galaxy energies are stronger on clear-sky nights.
• Sun and Light energies are stronger during the day; Moon, Star, and Shadow energies are weakened.
• Sun energy is stronger on clear-sky days.
• Electricity energy is stronger during a storm; Moon, Sun, and Star energies are weakened.
• Shadow, Earth, and Crystal energies are stronger in caves; Moon, Sun, Star, Planet, Galaxy, Electricity, Life, Blood, Air, and Light energies are weakened.
• Shadow, Death, Earth, and Crystal are stronger underground; Moon, Sun, Star, Planet, Galaxy, Electricity, Life, Blood, Air, and Light energies are weakened.
• Crystal and Metal energies are stronger in mines; Moon, Sun, Star, Planet, Galaxy, Electricity, Life, Death, Blood, Air, and Light energies are weakened.
• Death energy is stronger in a cemetery; Life and Blood energies are weakened.
• Life, Blood and Metal energies are stronger in major settlements of civilisations; Death, Earth, Crystal, and Water energies are weakened.
• Earth energy is stronger in a forest; Electricity, Crystal, Metal, Ice, and Water energies are weakened.
• Fire energy is stronger near volcanoes; Ice and Water energies are weakened.
• Ice energy is stronger in a glacier; Earth, Crystal, Metal, Fire, and Water energies are weakened.
• Water energy is stronger by lakes; Earth, Crystal, Metal, and Fire energies are weakened.
• Water energy is stronger by the ocean; Earth, Crystal, Metal, Fire, and Ice energies are weakened.
• Water energy is stronger on rainy days/nights; Moon, Sun, Star, and Fire energies are weakened.
• Air energy is stronger in the sky; Earth, Crystal, Metal, Ice, and Water energies are weakened.
• Moon, Sun, and Star energies are weakened during cloudy days/nights.
• Light energy is stronger in completely lit-up areas; Shadow energy is weakened.
• Ice energy is weakened in warm environments and during the summer; Fire energy is strengthened.
• Water, Ice, Shadow, Life, Blood, Earth, Crystal, Metal, and Electricity energies are weakened in deserts; Moon, Sun, Star, Planet, Galaxy, Death, Fire, and Light energies are strengthened.

The only place that this is not the case is the ancestral home of the Lihlsu, a hidden island in the Atlantic Ocean, where all Eyla exists in a heightened and equal strength, no matter the environment, time of day, or weather conditions. The ancestral home of the Lihlsu is also considered a hotbed of elemental energy, and the energy there is more potent then it is anywhere else in the world.
