Immortals and Watchers
The pantheon is divided into two groups: 8 Immortals and numerous Watchers. The Immortals are the most powerful deities: they are the forces that shape everything. The eight Immortals are Nasisis, Zhermisto, Drasil, Thanestra, Raion, Neithys, Gaeabia and Amanagni. They govern over the greater concepts of the interplanar universe and are hardly ever involved with the individual lives of mortals. Instead, they work on a far bigger scale, altering the fate of the universe in an attempt to keep balance and prevent (or cause) catastrophes of the largest kind. As a result, the Immortals are not well-known among the general public of the continent and worshippers are rare. Those that know any worthwhile amount of information about them have dedicated their lives to researching the foundations of the universe. Despite how little information about the Immortals is available, they are commonly depicted as shown in this figure.
The Watchers work on a smaller scale. They are often defined by one or two concepts and govern or guide everything related to those ideas. Although the Watchers are considered to be the lesser deities, this term deceptively misrepresents the incredible powers they possess. Watchers have been known to intervene directly on several occasions, altering the course of history with eyewitnesses to tell the tale. While their true forms are a mix of something angelic and something eldritch, they are able to take the shape of almost any creature. It is assumed that they use the power to change their form in order to subtly alter the natural flow of events, as well as to watch over the planes and their inhabitants - this, undoubtedly, is where the name "Watchers" comes from. Due to their direct involvement with mortal beings, they are often worshipped and they are even known to share some of their power with those who live by their tenets. The most commonly worshipped deity on the continent, Aphos, is one of the Watchers.
