Yelkin

From the sparking carcass of the Iron Arrow, a Yuan-Ti covered in soot, grime, and grease emerges. Originally, it was Ironborn who was supposed to accompany the Void Maiden aboard the Iron Arrow, but Rune vetoed the action. Instead, Yelkin - who has been training with Ironborn for 3 years - was tasked with serving as the Iron Arrow's engineer. Foremost a blacksmith, Yelkin is far more comfortable with "day-to-day" maintenance tasks aboard the levitating train, but is capable of stabilizing the engines... or in this case, driving them to the brink of destruction in a valiant effort to return what remained of the expedition team to Legacy.

Yelkin dresses like a blacksmith with a heavy leather apron and gloves, a simple shirt, and a toolbelt strapped around his waist. The hammer he carries has been outfitted with arcane runes that allow the tool to change form, shifting to whatever Yelkin needs in the moment. As he works, Yelkin tends to pause to roll his left shoulder or massage the joint and muscles there – the bit of scarring that shows from beneath his shirt may be why. When not working, Yelkin often has a far off look in his eye, as if reminiscing on something. It is unclear if it brings him comfort or stress.

Beyond being the Iron Arrow's newest engineer, Yelkin is also Yenush's older brother and current target. For what crime was he to stand trial? Yelkin believes he committed no crime.
They sent you. Of course they did. Can't you see... He's testing to see if you're still loyal. Or if your blood is "rotten" like mine. What crime did they even tell you I committed? None. I committed no crime.   A girl, Yen. A girl. She can't be older than 12. They keep her at the bottom of the lake. How is that ignorance? Is that the crime they shackle upon anyone who pokes too much? Who finds out their secrets and won't swallow them?
