The van Brinkerhoff Scuttling

• Tord tells me that a van Brinkerhoff ship was scuttled in the harbour, causing a blockade and a great deal of ire from other merchants. The Kroonvelds deny involvement. Rumour has it that Matthijs is looking to hire mercenaries to protect his shipments, but accepting such a job could draw the ire of the Grey Sails.
• Quartz wants information on what the Outer City folks are saying about this incident. There has been a shouting match in the Courts about it, but she knows nothing about what the Outer City knows.
• Egan says that the Grey Sails are getting antsy about all the thugs in their territory after this incident. He hints that getting involved with the mercenary job there might draw their attention, unless I speak with them about it first.
• Egan also said that Simon Lawson, an independent investigator, was looking into the incident, but evidence and reports are being suppressed.
