DM Tip: 5 Awesome 3rd Party Books

The quantity of 3rd party books for D&D out there is almost impossible to count. It's easy to get lost and confused over which ones to buy. They all have awesome mechanics and character options as well as all kinds of other goodies. Here are five of my favorites, you might have different ones, but these are the ones I like the best.   NONE OF THERE ARE PAID PROMOTIONS  
Witch + Craft
  This one is the best. It has awesome mechanics for crafting, a great per-made adventure, and some super cute art. It's the ultimate combination of Totoro and Dungeons and Dragons.  
Grim Hollow
  A grim-dark setting for horror-themed adventures. My favorite part of this one is the mechanics for transformation. It offers advanced rules for turning into werewolves, vampires, liches, and more! If you are running a grim-dark adventure, this is a must-have.  
Tome of Beasts
  Just some great monsters! I can't say the same for the Creature Codex and Tome of Beasts 2, they just aren't that great.  
Table Fables
  Did your players ignore all of your big signs saying "PLOT THIS WAY" and wander off into the woods? This book is for this very situation. It's full of random tables for creating people, places, and things in a pinch.
