In late 255, he and a contingent of forces from the cult attempted to invade The Mindscape as creatures of Aether surviving on their own were an affront to his god and their higher power of Ephemera, the Deep.
Taking on the name Jarlaxle in the dream world, he and his forces used Ephemeral creatures gifted to him by the deep known as ______, they attempted to collapse the dreamscape and bring the last vestiges of the world outside the grasp of Ephemera to an end. They were thwarted by a group of dreamers who managed to stabilize the mindscape long enough to allow everyone to safely awaken. Maddox disconnected before the last of his life drained away, the only survivor of his team.
