Thorny Frog Tongue

Describe an unusual or extraordinary plant species in one biome of your world!
Found in the undergrowth of rain forests is the Thorny Frog Tongue. The tongue is an deadly plant that is known for its attraction to actively hunting humanoids when given the opportunity. To feed, the tongue have an appendage packed deep within it’s flower base. This appendage is wrapped in aggressive grappling thorns. Throughout the day, the flower’s petals will sag and the plant will flatten itself as close to the ground as it’s surroundings allow. Once an adequate victim walks by the plant, the appendage lashes out and attempts to grapple an arm or leg of the victim by piercing the performance enhancing thorns into the flesh of the target. Then, the tongue will slowly drag the victim in the bulb of the tongue where the victim will slowly be broken down by digestive fluids.
