Gerudo

The Gerudo are a near-human species noted for being (almost) monogendered. Nearly all Gerudo offspring are female, and Gerudo children inherit the majority of their mother's genetic traits, receiving only minor characteristics from their fathers.   The Gerudo people are indigenous to the deeper regions of the Innagos Desert and maintain numerous tribal settlements there. Gerudo travel extensively during their youths, and so they are also frequently found in travel hubs throughout Verden.   According to their own legends, a male Gerudo is born once every 100 years. This is considered an omen that great change is in the near future, and this male Gerudo is often awarded special honors and titles by merit of their rare birth. A male Gerudo is often trained to become a political ruler, a champion warrior, or a master sorcerer, depending on their natural talents.
