The Castle of Rytten is Sacked and burned by Varenian forces.

The Castle of Rytten is sacked by the Varenian South Host. In the battle Earl Emmon Archyst is taken prisoner and his eldest son Thomas is slain. After burning the Castle, the Host splits up with the bulk marching southward to meet the Nilvuni army gathering at Darkwood Keep, while the Earls Ayan Godsent, Timmen Godsent and Isak Marryn march on Blackfort, to stop Earl Rolf Fyrda from joining his troops with the host in the south or harassing their supply lines.
