The Big Show

 I remember like it was yesterday, the night of the BIG SHOW! Oh yes, the big show, the show to end all shows when all the wizards came together and went bonkers!”

Summary

! Big show off more like. There was a party held by the wizards, celebrating something or other, nobody can remember what and as you know, or maybe you don’t but the wizards love their drink and it was flowing like a river that night. Well someone said something, you know how it is, and before you could say my spells are better than your spells, a contest was suggested. Quite a show it was too, a fantastic array of colours and other stuff, some of which I couldn’t see the point of quite frankly and then it happened.”

“What happened?”

“One of those silly old sods climbed to the top of the wizard’s castle and pronounced his intention of flying around it.” 

“Did he fall then?”

“Oh no, he managed a couple of circuits then on his last one collided with a turret. He was travelling too, a nasty mess he made of himself.”

“Are you saying that everything changed because of one unlucky old wizard who miscalculated his wind speed and direction?”

“That one old careless unlucky wizard happened to be the big man himself. The head bod, as it were. There followed lots of squabbling between the wizards as to who should be the next head bod but none could agree and it went on for a long time. Still isn’t resolved. To my knowledge.
