Narantsetseg (Nara)

Narantsetseg Syitō (a.k.a. Nara)

Daughter of her enclave's Magi, Narantsetseg was destined to be next in the line of her enclave's Magi, just like her mother. But Nara wanted to visit the world, to meet other races and see new lands, to live her life dedicated to discovery. When confronted about this and denied it's lure, Nara felt a burning in her soul and within an instant, her life was changed for the worse. As she looked about her, all she saw, where once her village fam was about her, now lay small, burning piles of ash. As she drops to her knees, a pain-filled scream beyond her years escapes her lips. The scream fades as it echoes into the void of night. After some time, she slowly opens her eyes. The once bright, yellow irises, had once matched the color of sunflowers at noon. However, they had now lost their luster, appearing now as a dull, earthen yellow. She gradually lifts her head and looks to her left, and then her right. The small piles of ash were almost gone now, carried away by the winds into the quickly darkening sky as a storm rushed in from the west. With the strength of a woman who's been through hell itself, she pulls herself up. She smears her forearm against her nose and then with one last look at the remaining scattered ashes nearest her, the young Orkäen woman turns and slowly begins to trudge her way to the front gates. Around her, the rain begins to dance and play as they hide her tears.
