Shenzi’gwa

The Shenzi’gwa are often thought of as an off-shoot of the more well known branch of Orkäen people named the Gisherva, but that couldn't be farther from the truth. In actuality, the Gishərva are the off-shoot, despite their larger population and greater spread across the lands of Aÿshra. Technically, the Shenzi’gwa are the root race for the entire Orkäen race as a whole! There is ample evidence of this in the Ogino Tøru Caves near the 'lost' Tower of Heron Kav on the rim of the Barren Dim. Inside, visitors will find carvings that can be dated back as far as the early First Age (1A) that depict orkäen in everyday life; hunting, gathering, tribal life, etc. According to these etchings, orkäens once lived on the seemingly eternal plains of one mighty, vast desert, in a number of large and impressive cities, but this was before the Great Rupture occurred which split their land from one, into the fragmented pieces we now know as the 'desert of shadows'.
