The Void

He remembered the last time it had been used and pushed the unpleasant memory away, though not before the remembered pleading scream in his head echoed through his soul. Some crimes were heinous enough that there really was only one punishment suitable.

One of the most reviled punishments--currently outlawed--of the Fanterra Plain is being thrown into the Void from the World Gate. Seers can see into the Void and Greater Daemons travel between it and the Physical Realm on an infrequent basis.

Geography

The Void is a vast nothing, the empty space between the planes of reality. The darkness is lit by gateways where magic from other realms pours into the vast emptiness. No one has ever mapped The Void.

Fauna & Flora

This is a land of refuse and daemons. The magic spilling from the other realms combines here to form creatures of darkness and shadow called Greater Daemons.
