Captain Wu's logs
Once the terminals on the bridge have been re-enabled, the ships logs will be available. Below are the recordings of the most recent two.
Latest entry
Ships command log, February 7, 312, EUD 14:32 hours, ship local time. Captain Stefan Wu, commander of the Distant Light reporting. Random systems on the ship have been failing for the last two days. None of it makes sense. As soon as we start working on one problem, another part of the ship starts going haywire. We have fried relays and compromised systems all over the ship. As I… as I recounted in my previous entries, the problems started with the hyperdrive. Then our sub-light propulsion systems. Only 6 hours later, our comms were offline. I tried to get a message off to Galatech before the comms failed, hopefully they send some help. The life support and environmental systems started to act up a couple hours ago. Some parts of the ship are 5 degrees celsius, while others are close to 30. I’m sure it’s only a matter of time until it fails completely. I unfortunately have to issue the command to abandon ship. We’ll take what supplies we can in the escape pod to Pranac IV. I’m enclosing the target coordinates for where we plan on landing. If a rescue team arrives, it would be best place to look for us. There’s water and vegetation, so we should be able to survive for a while. End log.
Second to last entry
Ships command log, February 6, 312, EUD 08:16 hours, ship local time. Captain Stefan Wu, commander of the Distant Light reporting. Neither myself, or JJ managed to get any sleep last night. I laid down for an hour in a futile attempt to sleep. I kept hearing sparks and surges in the electrical system, so I couldn’t get any rest . Thrusters were the latest thing to go offline. If we can’t get things under control soon, we’ll lose orbit stability. At least a surge in the system blasted a couple of the thrusters for a good 45 seconds and gave us a bit higher of an orbit. Unfortunately, it wasn’t controlled, so now the ship is spinning in a very erratic orbit. I don’t think we have any hope of landing the ship safely now.
