Age of the Dragon, and the Empire of the Celestial Dragon

Cultural event

C. -2,500→ C. -1,000

The last of Tao-Shun's family lineage dies. Hao-Shin Soulseeker ascends the throne and takes to revering the stars. Hao-Shin receives dreams of two great dragons intertwining. Seeing it as an omen of great promise for the empire, his lineage ushers in an age of incredible wealth, prosperity, and complacence. Worship of the great Celestial Dragon becomes a common staple of Orcish society.   Emperor Hao-Shin Soulseeker reforms the Orcish Empire into the Empire of the Celestial Dragon, and marks the new era by overseeing the construction of the Temple of the Celestial Dragon.   Societal attitudes of this time uphold the complete rejection and distrust of anything that could even be misconstrued as dark magic.   The twin dragons that depict this age are often drawn as infinitely long serpents, proud and powerful perched on a mountain of jade-colored in gorgeous watercolors of deep blues, greens, and turquoise, the dragons a series of dark, rich purple hues, and a series of constellations present within their long snake-like bodies.   The jade of the mountain symbolizes prosperity, while the infinite length of the dragons references the expectation that the Empire will last forever. The dragon is also depicted as ever vigilant and protective.
