Kingdom of Reidmar
The Kingdom of Reidmar is the official title of Reidmar, the country in which Blood and Chains is set.
Structure
The King is the supreme ruler of Reid. His Queen, as his spouse, does not rule but may advise the King. The order of succession is determined by having the royal heirs fight to the death on their 15th birthday, and whoever wins becomes the new King or Queen. Then there are various advisors, servants, courtiers and others surrounding the throne.
Technological Level
The technology level of Reidmar, as well as its surrounding nations, is roughly Iron Age, meaning that they have access to iron and steel, know how to build longships and longbows, and other such advancements.
Mythology & Lore
Wuluad and Maruad are the two gods worshipped by the Reid, the people of Reidmar. They believe that Wuluad made the clouds, sea and fish, and that Maruad made the land, seeds and animals. Together, the two gods made humans. One day, when the world ends, Wuluad and Maruad will come down to the world and fight all the evil spirits and demons that dwell here among men.
