Crowfeather Tribe

The Crowfeather Tribe is Geld's own tribe. It is ruled by the tribe leader Tribe leader Meruk and has a tribe shaman as well, Tribe shaman Lemmu.

Structure

The tribe, like all of The People's tribes, has one tribe leader, one tribe shaman and the rest are tribe members.

Demography and Population

The demography and population of the Crowfeather tribe is about 40 people, around half of them are men and half are women, and some are kilak.

Territories

The territory of the Crowfeathers lie in The Forest , on the ancestral land of The People. They move their campsite depending on where the most prey is, and move campsite twice a year.

Technological Level

Their technology level is the same as others of The People; Mesolithic technology so no agriculture, no cloth making, no metallurgy and no written language.

Foreign Relations

They get along well with other tribes, and are well-liked because of their regular trading with a nearby human settlement. Salt and bread from the Crowfeather tribes has been very beneficial for the other tribes.

Mythology & Lore

Creation myth: The People were created by father Sun and mother Moon and her two sisters, who gave them good eyes to see prey with, good ears to hear prey with and good hearts to know how to only hunt was what needed. The land was still filled with bad spirits, however, and the Sun and Moons imprisoned them in the Land of the Dead, where dead People must dwell. The dead: After being buried in foetal position in the Marsh of the Dead, the dead person is then literally reborn in the Land of the Dead, where they are tormented and tempted by evil spirits to commit evil deeds. If they manage to survive one full life without doing evil in the Land of the Dead, they're reborn again among the stars in the night sky.

Cosmological Views

Creation myth: At first, there was only darkness and howling, laughing bad spirits. The Sun and Moons created the land and the sea, the forest and all animals. The People were created by father Sun and mother Moon and her two sisters, who gave them good eyes to see prey with, good ears to hear prey with and good hearts to know how to only hunt was what needed. Tenets of Faith

Ethics

Worship

Regular practices and traditions include praying every night to the Sun and Moons, making certain rituals at brightnight, celebrating the Midsummer Solstice and Midwinter Solstice, among other things.

Priesthood

The form of priesthood of The People is a shaman, which every tribe has. The shaman's duties are to see to matters concerning the spirits of prey and dead People, and to speak to the gods Father Sun and Mother Moon and her two sisters.
