Royal City of Kadukuren

The capital of the Ntiklonen Kingdom, Kadukuren is the heart of the Kingdom's political, cultural, economic and religious life. The city is named for the Prophet, specifically His title as 'Breaker of Bonds' in His native tongue (albeit a quite corrupted version of said title). The city is built on the edge of the Fiyek, the great river that runs the length of the country, and is home to the great harbor that sees a vast amount of trade flow through it.   The city was selected by the Prophet as a possible capital center following the end of the War of Liberation (one out of three choices). Ntiklon Xavnus succeeded in persuading both the Prophet and the other Disciple's that the future Kadukuren would be the best choice as it lay just in front of a small lake (an ideal naval base) and had a collection of offshore islands to help protect the harbor from storms. The core of the city was built just west of an existing Enxetite village (the village of Srétöshy, known to the Prophet as Sketos). Said village became the center for the city's Eastern Quarter, where the majority of the markets and Enxetites would live. The main city was split into the Royal Quarter (originally the Prophet's Quarter), the Temple Quarter and the Western Quarter (where most Pagavenur and foreigners would settle along with the embassies and administrative offices). Being located on a branch of the Fiyek's delta allowed for easy travel from any part of the country located on the river or coast to reach the capital. As this was chosen by the Prophet as His capital, the city is regarded as a holy site by all those who follow in the Prophet's teachings. Unsurprisingly, the largest temple in regards to the Prophet is located in the Temple Quarter, with His mausoleum built in the Royal Catacombs below the Royal Quarter.
