King Ntiklon Lagivu Gloines

King Ntiklon Lagivu Gloines (to his family he is Seunrai, sunbeam) is the current and thirteenth (13th) Monarch of the Kingdom. Having grown up in the latter years of the Hursan Wars and living through the aftermath of such things, Ntiklon XIII is a man dedicated to keeping his realm out of further wars and has thus focused on diplomacy. Ntiklon XIII spent many of his early years learning under the best orator, rhetoricians and philosophers the Ntiklonen Kingdom can offer or purchase the aid of. This heavy focus on precise communication has shown itself in the ways Ntiklon XIII has pursued his policy. The foremost example is his foreign relations. The King has personally led several diplomatic missions to neighboring kingdoms in order to gain the more direct notice of his contemporaries and to better establish relationships between the Kingdom and its neighbors. While many of his early efforts revolved around more clearly delineated trade treaties, possible joint military exercises to foster unity and knowledge sharing via letting universities and the like share books and knowledge, King Ntiklon XIII has recently pursued building closer diplomatic ties (a la alliances, mutual aid agreements, etc.). His ultimate goal is to create a nearby environment where the Kingdom doesn't need to fear its neighbors and regards them simply as good friends and partners. He is aware of the difficulty of this and has been using the good relations he has been building to get closer to this goal.   He frequently writes to several of those monarchs he has strong relationships with and periodically does so for the more distant ones. He is using writing to help foster a personal connection with his contemporaries and keep them in the loop on any important events that could involve them. In contrast to his father and grandfather, King Ntiklon XIII has not pursued permissions for the Royal Order to operate more freely in the neighbor states yet. He wishes to build closer ties first, then let his hounds against the Sorceress loose.
