Ighrali, the Sword of the Prophet

The sword of the Prophet is a highly revered relic of the man dating back to the early Liberation War period. The sword itself was made by a skilled blacksmith shortly after the liberation of Skubak early in the War of Liberation. The blade is a very well made piece, with a small amount of tasteful decorations covering the blade and handle. Following a private pilgrimage to an old mountain monastery, the blade became host to a benevolent and powerful angelic spirit, Ighrali, to aid the Prophet in battle. Ighrali was chosen to help the Prophet due to Him nearly dying in a brief skirmish with an agent of the Sorceress. Ighrali was, and remains, a extremely skilled in destroying evil spirits and the creations of the Sorceress. It was this sword that slew the physical incarnation of the Sorceress near the end of the war.   Following the Prophet's passing and ascension, the Sword (now often called Ighrali after the spirit) typically was used by the reigning Ntiklonen Monarch as their blade in battle. Though it would be given to the blood descendant of the Prophet if one was present in a battle. When not in active use, Ighrali is kept in the Mausoleum of the Prophet in a section dedicated to the Prophet's regalia and personal items. Ighrali has become a major symbol of the Prophet and replica swords are common across shrines and among devotees. The spirit Ighrali himself has also become venerated as the great warrior against evil and his name is often invoked as a way to ward off the malevolent. Sword charms are frequently used as a sort of 'Evil Eye' charm. Blacksmiths have developed a tradition in which they try to recreate Ighrali the sword or make a personal variant of the blade as a test of the skill as a blacksmith.
