Medjay Seqrene Tao

While The Pharaoh rules over all of Khemit, he has deligated ruling the kingdom to vizier and generals while he rules at a higher level. General Seqrere Tao is one such man. He has served under Pharaoh Psamtik II and his father, Pharaoh Necho II.
At twenty, he joined The Pharaoh's Army against the occupying Foerdewaith forces. He was a brilliant tactician and the harring triple wave of cavalry archers and skirmishers became known as the Tao Avalanche.

At thirty-two, he became Outrider to the Throne, the highest ranking of Medjay, and under his leadership, forced the Overking Yurid to retreat from Khemit after six years of war. General Tao is bestowed land in Elephantine, so that he is never far from the Pharaoh's side. He used some of the land for a great stable and created a training ground for the next generation of camel riders as Pharaoh Necho II decreed that the Kingdom shall have a standing army against the next aggressor.
It was in the last year with Pharaoh Necho II that General Tao was promoted to General of the Utachu, The Divine hand of the Pharaoh, giving him authorization over the whole Khemit military and the honor of being in charge of the Pharaoh's personal guard. General Tao uses his training ground to hand pick members of the Utachu.
At fourty-six, General Tao is the oldest general in the Pharaoh's army and a close adviser to Pharaoh Psamtik II. While famous for combat, he is well respected out into the desert as well. When conflict arose with the Khasti tribes and Ptamenu clans over water, he was the impromtu diplomat. While Pharaoh Psamtik gave him a thousand troops to oversee the safety of travel along the Footprints of the Gods, it wasn't necessary. Both parties paused their feud seeing General Tao's banners rising above the dunes. When it was known it was only General Tao and a dozen riders, some of the younger members wished to ride out and challenge General Tao. They recieved stern repromands from the elders as they had to explain not only the foolishness of bringing the Pharaoh's wrath for challenging General Tao, but this is the General that the Tao Avalanche is named for. He negociated the water treaty of the Great Sand Sea between the parties and suggested to the Pharaoh funding the mainenance of wells throughout the kingdom.
General Tao is known as a hero to Khemit as a loyal leader of the people. Undersandably no one challenges the Pharaoh's rule, but are glad there are men like Seqrene Tao at his side.
