House of Penthru:Treasure Room

With the false door removed, anyone nearby is assaulted by a swarm of ubashki cats that were collected in abundance for Penthru. Much like Inapesh, these poor creatures were tortured to death before mummification, and the negative Ka has fueled their vengeance. They burst forth, dozens of black, hairless bodies, pushing the door open and clawing at the wall to get out. They attack indiscriminately and fiercely; their lonely, hollow cries are as terrible as their claws.I The ubashki swarm fights until destroyed.     UBASHKI SWARM

Behind the false door is the accumulated items of Penthru the Elder and Younger’s Worldly possessions to take with them. It appears to be at least two piles of goods left here.

Penthru the Elder

The frame of a chair, an ironwood cane, grass woven shoes, a small, square stone container with a few Gold and silver rings (50gp) and 30 seashells, a few ceramic bowls with the desiccated remains of fruit and meat, and finally the worn rug with wool dyed in purples and blues. It appears that most of the possessions were at a time that the Elder was an older man, possibly that he moved to Wati at a later age. The seashells are one of his earliest works in making purple dye and the use of alchemical skills in making the dye permanent. It will take time, but the shells give clues to the manufacture of Tyrian purple , one of the rare dyes of the world

Penthru the Younger

The Younger’s treasure surrounds a wooden desk and fills the top of a stone table. Equal parts gold and silver coins of the Caliphate, shaped glass and ceramic containers, and lead and bronze crucibles. Time and entropy has taken their toll, items have shifted and fallen from the table and desk, creating a mess of materials on the floor. Penthru the younger was proud of his alchemical skills as seen in what he believed was treasure. One of the prizes taken with him is a ceramic cylinder with a sky blue colored dye called indiglow. . Today’s blue dye comes from imported HexIron, a darker blue created by alchemists, from iron. Both are lacking in the kingdom of Khemit.   As a side note, Pharaoh Psamik II, is also known as the Ruby King as he wears many red dyed clothes.
