House of Penthru: Garden

To the east of the house, bare trees stick out of the sand dunes in a neat row. A fountain’s white ceramic features jut from the sand behind the trees. It ceased operations long ago with sand filing most of the basin. This would have been a nice food garden with olive trees and date palms. Between the fountain and the Mausoleoum the sand is uneven, covering presuably bushes and potted herbs. moving past the fountain, triggers the haunt again. Will (DC 12) those that fail, hear a voice from the balcony, calls out, "They are coming in, Protect the family!", those that fail by 5 or more are affected by the Memory of Violence

Those that fail, see a dozen crazed men and women; eyes red as they weep blood, crash through the gates toward the house. It is chaos as the mob tries to attack the players. This is essentially confusion spell with those impacted by the haunt not discerning who is friend or foe. Meanwhile within the triggered haunt, 8 dunes start moving as skeletons of the former guards rise, from where they fell, failing to protect the family. The skeleton guards will move towards the stairwell, attacking players at will. They will not proceed beyond a few steps of the stairwell. If a skeleton is defeated, it’s bones will move back to the opening where they came from. If the skeleton is still active when all the players get to the top of the stairs, it will appear that they turn and fight some unseen foe, they then complete their death throes before collapsing back into the sand where they originally fell. These skeletons are both Cursed and affected by the negative Ka.
