Guiding Spire:Lobby

Beyond the doors, the Guiding Spire looks like it held up pretty well over time. The ceramic tiles are still mostly in place along the walls, floor and ceiling, still with vibrant green and Gold coloring. The small windows at the top of the wall look intact, though dusty, providing only dim light. Five columns stand in this room with empty sconces. Behind and to the left and right are the stairwells leading up to the minaret balconies. Hallways also continue to the left and right of the inner sanctum into the darkness.
The writing on the columns are in both Demotic and HIGH BOROS script. They are blessings to the gods to watch over the Khemitian people (note that this is supposed to be a temple to only Ades) and to the inspired architect, Aolis, whom is also the Sem Priest of the Guiding Spire (Sem is the high priest who can be seen wearing the jaguar printed sash that presides over important funerals to make sure the rituals are handled properly). Nothing informative, except for Aolis, and that it’s a dual translation to help in learning either written language.
Six long, stone benches face the inner sanctum with another statue of Ades, this one with a little more color, facing the audience. (He is the Gatekeeper; The grey man, but in this case he is colored a pale blue as the Khemitian god Osiris was). Between the benches are stacks 4 feet high with the wrapped remains of the dead. It appears to be here that Gaffe Sherpses first laid to rest, those that suffered from the plague. The wrappings have almost obliterated, leaving delicately balanced piles of bones. Towards the inner sanctum, it appears sometime in the recent past, that some piles in front of the benches did collapse, and they were gathered into a macabre pattern at Ades’s feet. There are nine of these stacks still standing between the benches, they can be looted, DC 15 to carefully search the piles to find a few gold and silver rings (51 gp in total). If the players are not trying to be subtle, the stacks topple over creating a 10 by 10 area of difficult terrain (50% chance to cause a domino effect with the nearby stack). An additional 30 gp in gold/silver trinkets can be found in the rubble but takes another 20 minutes. If counted, it would be well over 200 bodies.
