Guiding Spire: Sem Priest Quarters

A smaller room with a few windows on the curved wall. This appears to be a single occupant room with a bed shrouded in a light gauze material. Resting in the bed is the Sem Priest of Ades. Other items in the room include a wood writing desk and a slew of writing implements. A single column in the room depicts the creation of the Temple and a heavenly glow from the spire with some writings. The bed is the resting place of Impeti, Sem Priest of Ades (His name is known by Sememarek and deciphering the crumbling scrolls on the desk. He has 2 gold ring necklaces. One of his hands appears to be clutching something.

The Demotic Script on the Column reads, may light shine from the obelisk to reveal truth to all. A closer examination of the column shows that in the rendition of the temple, the obelisk’s capstone is a gemstone. Secret

The obelisk below is removable. Wax residue confirms that a candle can be placed as a substitute for the obelisk. If a candle is lit and placed in the hole, the stone is illuminated. The projected light against the wall makes a secret panel visible. A small etching on the stone is enlarged showing the name “Aolis”. Behind the secret panel is a book. The book is in Demotic Script, and it includes the written comments of Aolis.

There are various entries, mostly unimportant ravings, but in taking at least 30 minutes reading there are several interesting ones:

As I walk through the ruins of temple district, the I hear the voice of the old gods. Ades, Jamboor, Ceres are drowned out by the choir. I look up to the moon and it disappears behind the veil of stars. Then a pyramid of pitch-black flies across the horizon. A golden face appears above the pyramid and it vomits pitch which covers the land. Nothing remained between the night and black pitch except fear. In that moment, the voices were all silent and I was alone.

The Next night, the gods called to me. I find myself in the temple district once more. Again I see the Golden face above the black pyramid, but this time Ra strikes the pyramid and the mask falls like a shooting star into the temple ruins. Set appears and takes it below the ground, where I remember his temple once stood.

A third night of visions brings me to the house of Set. Before him lays the golden face; a mask lays on a stone before him. Shadows beneath the mask appear to move but are fearful of Set’s gaze. The threat is gone for now but can take root in this land again as the thrice divided soul cannot be laid to rest. Upon this hallow ground you shall build a temple to your god and pray that this thing should not rise again.

The Temple is complete. Ades gave me a vision of the creation of a guiding spire. Ataturk believes it to be an extravagant monument to encourage conversion. Let him believe it is as such, for the materials cost a fortune. With the first day of summer, the obelisk is a graceful beacon to be seen by all of Wati. Pray that the guiding spire shine forever, less the evil take root and grow.
