Character Advancement
The Session Record and Callbacks
At the end of the session, write the session title on the back of your character sheet. You may use your session record to make callbacks, referring to events from other sessions that may be useful in your current situation. When you do so, you immediately gain the benefit of spending a PP that could be used for Activating an SFX, keeping an extra die result in your total, or creating an asset to reflect your PC’s previous experiences with the task. You can only make a callback to a specific session once per session. Mark off the checkbox when you make the callback. Erase all checks at the end of the session and add the new session’s name to the record.Advancement
You may spend Sessions by crossing them off your list and improving your character during a period of rest and downtime (GM's call.) The costs are as follows:
- 1 Session - Turn a temporary asset or relationship from a session into a signature asset (or relationship)
- 1 Session - Switch out a distinction or trait statement for a new one. Any attached SFX can also be rewritten for free.
- 2 Sessions - Step up a signature asset or relationship.
- 2 Sessions - Add or step up a new specialty
- 2 Sessions - Unlock a new SFX
- 3 Sessions - Step up a skill, resource, or Outsider power.
- 4 Sessions - Step up one attribute and step down another.
