The Black Tower

This tower is all that remains of a large citadel that was once upon the highest peaks on the Spine of the World. The once brilliant white stones was scorched black many ages ago in a magic storm. The Great Wizard Aldus Greystone III and his disciples pooled their powers together to repel the storm from laying waste to the continent. Through their combined efforts they saved the continent from destruction. A side effect though was the lands of north have suffered from odd weather patterns, leading to the creation of a desert so close to the northern ice. Some say if you climbed the long black stair to the tower you can see the wizard and his priests bones merged into the ebony rockwork.
