Laen Belbelnin (Lay - N / Bell - Bell - Neen)

Laen is a farmer from the small village of Blackpool while being raised by his dad. For most of his life, Laen has only known how to tend to the farm, but lately, he feels a calling to the wild, like a sickness is festering. By joining Aven Naeris and his party of adventures, Laen might be able to determine what this call is from.

When he came to be a mile and a half into walking towards the noise, Laen saw an orange glow to the left of him. It was obvious that the orange glow was fire. He knocked one of the new arrows to his bow, and walked towards the fire, not even making a sound on the forest floor.
Then he saw it. A dragon was sitting a few feet from a tent. Laen could not believe that he was looking at a dragon. He had only heard stories of dragons and those were in fairy tales. He did not think that dragons were real. Laen raised the bow and walked closer to the camp. He froze when someone walked out of the tent.

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Laen is a young man with a lean build and handsome features. He wears his light brown hair in dreads brushed to the right side of his head, similar to the way his mom wore hers when she was younger. His skin is white with a light tan from being outside so often, and a pair of pale green eyes match the leaves on the trees.
He dresses in a green tunic with leather padding for extra protection while out in the forest.
Laen has a woodland longbow with a simple quiver that he uses when he hunts. He is proficient with it, preferring it to daggers or swords.

Education

Laen went to a small school that had about twenty to thirty students at a time. At the age of thirteen, he dropped out to help his dad on their farm and village with hunting. Laen, at least, knows basic skills and simple math. He can read, but he's not above average.

Employment

Laen works for his dad's farm and participates in hunting and fishing. During these times, he found a lynx kit and took him home to nurse him back to health. Eventually, Laen adopted the lynx and they have been hunting and fishing partners ever since.

The call of the wild has been nagging at Laen for months. Yet, he's ignored it to make sure that his dad has security when it comes to the crops. He also feels drawn to nature, seeming able to find food and water no matter the terrain.

William Belbelnin. Laen's dad. They contain a strong bond, where Laen would do anything to help his dad from a stressful point.
Kathryn Belbelnin. Laen doesn't remember anything about his mom as she died when he was a baby. The only stories he knows of her come from his dad, who claims Laen looks a lot like her.

Love Interest

Lissie-Uuthli Chath. Upon meeting Lissie, Laen is impressed by her talents. He joins her immediately after she proves he has innate magickal talents buried deep due to his mom's passing.

Allies

Dorian. Laen rescued Dorian as a kit and raised him into a beautiful lynx warrior. Their bond is stronger than most people. Dorian only listens to Laen's commands and views him as family.

Enemies

Jeras Ballard. An arrogant bastard who thinks "picking flowers" is for girls. He bullies Laen relentlessly, often deeming him to be weak. Laen has yet to show Jeras how powerful he really is, mostly due to not knowing about his magick.
