Session 5 - An Unwanted Greeting Report

The group leaves the Good Dragon in and make their way to a local magic shop where we purchased a +1 shield, robe with patches, sending stones, and some scrolls which Stor forked up most of the money for. Stor also sold the dagger he stole at the inn. The owner of the magic shop also mentioned a job to protect something while it waited to go to Cali. While on the way to the armory and job board Stor was asked to step into an alley to “talk”. Everyone follows in and they start to talk. They learn that the people who pulled them aside are part of the cult they had been fighting. They wanted their necklaces back. Stor reluctantly give them up and stupidly mentions the cube of death. The cult drew their swords and demanded they get the cube. Kai gave the cube a toss towards Aymar when he uses his mind to fling the cube over into another alley. Erdan and Avavlour begin to race over the buildings to the cube. That’s when everyone jumps into action. Erdan got to the cube and hid until the coast was clear. Kai, Stor, Himo, and Aymar took out the grunts but the big man got away. Himo charmed one of the grunts and we ended up “befriending” him for a short while. We got as much info as we could from him before we got him in an ally before he was forcibly “retired”. After the encounter was over the party split to our original destinations (job board and armory). Himo, Erdan, and Aymar went to the armory and purchased basic weapons. The rest of the party at the job board found the same job as at the magic shop. Someone wanting a manor cleared of ghosts for 1000 gp and a flier for the dagger Stor stole for 500 gp. Stor runs back to the magic shop and buys his dagger back and returns it. Everyone meets up at the inn and enjoys a short rest and lvl up.
