Rope can only be damaged by Fire-Type attacks, or attacks made with sharp objects – knives, swords, sharp teeth, and Moves like Scratch, Slash, Leaf Blade, Razor Leaf, etc. The Move Cut ignores all Damage Reduction against Rope.
