Madame Eva's Circus Caravan

Popular with both the common and noble classes of the Kaldari, Madame Eva's Travelling Circus is regarded by many as the best show in the kingdom, and the annual arrival of the caravan at any major city is a source of excitement and anticipation that few abstain from. With the actual size of the troupe changing from season to season and year to year, the exact amount of people travelling with the caravan is unknown to even Madame Eva. With well over three hundred cast and crew at any given time however, the caravan troupe is composed of well over fifty wagons and carts being hauled by a wide assortment of horses, mules, and various exotic animals.    With it's arrival at a destination city, the troupe is able to unpack the modular wagons and begin the set up of the massive tents and pavillions on the outskirts of the city. Within a day's work the caravan will have transformed into a sprawling circus-tent city complete with covered and over-flow seating. Upon conclusion of the circus festivities, the entire circus is packed back up into the wagon again and the trouple makes its farewells before heading to the next city in their tour.

Armor and defense

Merchant caravans are often the victim of highwaymen and banditry on the Central Highlands, as the goods they transport and coin they trade it for is far too tempting for the average criminal to ignore. Madame Eva's Carvan is no exception to this rule, as the exotic items gathered and sold among the crew during their travels across Kaldaria draw the curiosity of more than just the law abiding. Unlike most merchant caravans however, Madame Eva's Travelling Circus is far from picky when it comes to their hiring practices; many of the crew and even the cast have checkered pasts and can be expected to put up a significant fight with even the smallest provocation. With over 300 people travelling in unison and committed to the defense of their troupe - outright assaults on the caravan are virtually unheard of.    While Madam'e Evas has been targeted by criminals in the past, it is far more likely to come in for the form of a displeased or desperate crew member trying to make off with whatever they can get their hands on. Madame Eva has her own method of handling this particular brand of betrayal however...
