Grayson, Scoundrel & Bard (Grey-Sun)

A fledgling bard and vagabond, Grayson is the son of a fisherman who grew up in a quiet Kaldari village where he dreamed of a life more exciting and adventurous than the one destiny had handed him. Desperate to travel, see the rest of [The Kaldari Highlands (or even Alwaus) Grayson learned his first few chords on the lute when he was sixteen in attempt to lure the affections of the local girls in his village. It wasn't long after this that began to play and sing at the village tavern - and even shorter after that he began earning a well deserved reputation as a schmoozer, philanderer, and outright scoundrel. Gray left his village for the nearest city just two days before his eighteenth birhday with outright certainty that he was headed to a life of fame, fortune, and success.   Grayson didn't even reach the next village before he was robbed by a group of highwayman. They stole his silver, his boots, and his lute. When he protested the latter they broke his nose and threw him headfirst into the nearby creek.   Now robbed of his gold, his optomisim, and his faith in his fellow man Grayson set out to earn back enough silver buy a new pair of boots and an used lute. He washed dishes in a local tavern and slept in the stables next the horses - where he learned for this first time the value of a day's hard work. Grayson hated minute of it and swore to never be forced into manual labour again.   For the past five years Grayson has ventured across [Central Highland Region and its surrounding regions, working various taverns and bars in major towns and cities. Not particularly talented, Grayson struggled to find consistent venues and never even caught a second glance from a local merchant or nobleman who might have been interested in becoming his patron. Inwardly begingin to panic that his break would never come, Grayson continued to play his lute, bed local maidens, and make both friends and enemies wherever he went.   In the fall of 190 however, Grayson made the unfortunate mistake of bedding the wife of a member of a low level enforcer for a local gang in The Port City of Rystanburg - a mistake that forced the bard to flee the city in the dead of night in hopes of escaping the thug chasing after him. He ventured as far south as The Village of Tribute before settling in at Sophie's Tavern to work as a Tavern Bard while he waited out Kaldari's fierce winter.   When bandit activity in the nearby farmsteads got the attention of the village, Grayson remained behind while Thadeus, Blacksmith of Tribute and his friends ventured back to Rystanburg to gather Constable Vladik and the constabulary from the city's garrison. Grayson's eye for trouble and a good story caught him onto the activities of Father Wilhelm, Buck, Vargan, and Declan; the group that ventured to The Barrow Farmstead and (if rumors were true) killed over a dozen bandits lurking there.   Grayson tried several times to weasel the truth from the group but ultimately was unsuccessful, and could only watch as the group boarded The Periwinkle for Rystanburg, refusing him once again from the life of adventure and danger he so desperately craved.
