The Abyss the endless, eternal tomb of Krell and his demonic kin. In the lowest level of The Void is the Dark King himself, the original evil and the prodoginator of all foul creatures of the realms. A being of black void that predates the gods themselves, Krell is akin to that of a force of nature, the counter balance of the divine, the anti-life being. The so called Lords of The Abyss are his children, spawned purely from his own flesh and spirit, they embody key aspects of the Dark King's own twisted personality, they are the rulers and gods of their given layer and act as both prisoner and jailer of Krell. The constant chaos of the Abyss is there as a by product of the natures of those who rule it, Krell yearns to enter the mortal world and plunge it into an unending cycle of death and chaos, but his children prevent this from occurring, though they are his kin they were all born with a thirst for power that cannot be sated. Their constant scheme, machinations, and betrayals act as Krells perfect foil, for he cannot escape while he has to hold the Abyss together, but in return for this the Lords of the Abyss are also imprisoned, for as his offspring they are forbidden by cosmic law from entering the mortal plain unless they are summoned by one who dwells there, or if a portal is opened for them to walk through. The Lords of the Abyss and their dark creator are a near constant growing threat to the mortal plain, and it is this fact that makes them openly feared and some times worshipped as dark deities and demons.
