Wraith Fire

Kholinar had wooden walls guarding its perimeter, however, this was futile against the surprise attack against the massive amount of men that criminal mastermind Hartford Crowley, Champion of the Sea, as he is called by some, gathered to storm the town. Him, along with his men, decided to test a new creation on this peaceful city, something dubbed "Wraith Fire." This blue flame comes encapsulated in a glass canister and, when thrown and shattered, releases a huge blazing blue flame that is said to burn forever. It doesn't spread by itself further than it can fly from the impact, however the immense heat is said to be catastrophic for any organic material. Living tissue, such as skin or plants, are immediately burnt to ash as the blue fire burns a bright flame. It hasn't been documented how hot the flame gets, but it is said to be hotter than the sun. It is said that this fire is created from harvesting the souls of the damned from wraiths and putting them in canisters, while mixing them with other alchemist's materials, though it is unknown how exactly, as this is the only time it has ever been documented to exist. No other such event has occurred, perhaps since Hartford Crowley realized how detrimental this fire was, as most of the men, women, and children, burned, along with the entire town, leaving all the loot under rubble and ash, if there was any left at all.
Along with all the destruction from the flame, came a massive tremor, rumored to have been caused from the mass panic and the immense heat. This tremor caused a gash in the ground, where the flame seeped in, causing the soil and rock to smolder for years and years to come. The Decimation of Kholinar was truly a disgusting act of selfishness, as Hartford Crowley and his gang were only out to test their new toy and to get loot, however it will surely go down in history. Supposedly, the fires of Kholinar are still burning to this day...
