Scrag [Skull] Caverns

Location: Cavern a few miles out of the East end of Oceania   This cavern has been used for many years by miners. This cavern has a deep amount of ore, both valuable and not, that the blacksmith Taldek Breitheim runs to keep his shop and supplies stocked up. He allows dwarves and the like to come in and mine for him, paying them for their hauls. There was a nice community of miners working and sometimes even living there. Everything was going well for them, until a goblin horde came in and started scaring people. With these goblins also came skeleton warriors of unknown origin, and all the workers there were slaughtered, except for one. Taldek's brother Vondutt managed to escape the threats in the caverns and make it out alive. The caverns are dug right in the side of a large hill, and has a little oasis and clearing before it, where a sign showing passersby the caverns name. Before, a peaceful place, now covered in bodies and blood, the sign has been rewritten, SKULL CAVERNS, crossing out Scrag and writing Skull in blood. It is now a place of torment, and a locale that fuels evil, and it needs to be destroyed.

Geography

This cavern is located in the middle of the forest, built into the side of a large hill/mountain. There is a large clearing outside the doors to the mine entrance. It is located only a few miles from the town of Oceania.

Fauna & Flora

The clearing outside of the caverns has luscious greenery and two ponds full of crystal clear water. The greenery, with the introduction of the skeletal warriors, has started to wither and die slowly, becoming a darker color, as opposed to it's beautiful green color originally.

Natural Resources

Lots of resources can be found in Scrag Caverns. Iron and coal being the most abundant, there are also gemstones to be found, such as emeralds and rubies, but also rarer materials, like gold and mythril. Those all require a decent swing of a mighty pickaxe to obtain, however.
